Hi all.

I am implementing a fresh exchange 2013 environment. My objective is to implement the most secure environment as possible particularly remote access to e-mail on a smart device via active sync. I am proposing to implement the following solution
Install Exchange 2013 within my VMware environment on my own Lan.
Setup a DMZ and Run an IIS AAR server within the DMZ to route email via the DMZ to the internal LAN/internet via 443 and port 80 utilising SSL certification.
Is the above the most secure way of providing active sync?

Any feedback is very much appreciated.

Kaly
