Hi,

I have two Exch2003 in an AD2003 forest. I have two Win2003 DCs and one Win2008 DC. I am trying to install Exch2010 on a separate server but during the 'Readiness Checks', the setup says that it requires Microsoft Server Speech Platform Runtime (x64). I installed this and in fact it is also showing in the Windows Uninstall Programs and Features. I tried re-installing it several times. I also uninstalled it and re-installed it but still have the same problem.

Any ideas please?

Apart from that, during the Readiness Checks, under Organization Prerequisites, I get the following Warning:

"
Setup is going to prepare the organization for Exchange 2010 by using 'Setup /PrepareAD'. No Exchange 2007 server roles have been detected in this topology. After this operation, you will not be able to install any Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007 servers.
"

Does this mean that after the installation, my two Exch2003 servers will not work??

Thanks beforehand for your inputs.

Hi,

try downloading and installing the package from this link (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=21924)

In terms of the second warning, this is normal. PrepareAD will simply run the exchange schema extensions in AD (similar to ForestPrep in Exchange 2003) and also runs PrepareDomain which basically adds the necessary permissions to AD for Exchange 2010.

Your Exchange 2003 environment will not be harmed and will continue to function as normal.
