I have recently lost my primary exchange server 5.5 and the only backup I had was from Symantec Backup Exec.

The only way that I know of to restore mailboxes from Symantec is to rebuild a server exactly like the one I lost.

My problem is that the one I lost was not the only one, it was the second Exchange Server and I still have the first and it is still showing that I have the lost server on the list.

When reinstalling Exchange 5.5 on a new server then trying to join it to the existing site is not what it likes. It tells me to first remove the lost server from the list.

I'm not sure how to do this with Exchange Server 5.5.

HELP!!

Nobody out there that remembers anything about Exchange 5.5?

I have been forced to go to Office365 for our business but I need the old data.

Thanks,
