I'm curious, is there any danger to production mail when installing a new 2013 server into an AD with an existing 2007 / 2010 running.

I'd like to lab this up and begin working and have no expectation of being able to migrate mailboxes, etc. but I'm wondering if the mere presence of the new server will create any conflicts for the existing infrastructure? I'm busy reading sizing guidelines and info about multi vs. combined roles, etc. but I'd like to have something to look at as well.

Comments?
