What options are available in configuring EXO to allow only corporate assets to connect via Outlook Anywhere? Our security team is concerned that extending Outlook Anywhere connectivity to all corporate users would allow users to directly connect from any client to exchange server over the internet. This would then expose their emails, as they can be downloaded and stored in any system like a friend’s computer, personal laptop, internet café, public library etc. This increases the risk of exposing company confidential information, user privacy information, partner company confidential information in emails where we might be legally liable to protect their information.

I'm sure other corporate users have wrestled with this issue and Microsoft has solution but obviously it has eluded us to this point. Any assistance with addressing this issue or links/references to other resources that would help resolve this would equally be appreciated.

The only good option I see you have is to setup ADFS. Below article should help:
