Send As permission issue - 16.Mar.2015 10:42:57 AM

I have a website which sends emails on a domain:

which sends emails to the internal company as well as a "thanks for your email" ack message to the sender

This works fine.
I now have another domain:

which is a different site but wanting to use separate domain for sending and receiving emails.
the sending and receiving is fine via owa.

however, through code - not so much. When I try to send an email to the sender (outside of the domain), I get a
typical "client does not have permissions to send as" error.

For this particular account I am using to send emails FROM (noreply@mydomain.net), I have granted it
to send from "noreply@domain.co.uk", since that works.

the client credentials being used to send emails is a domain user and that domain user works also.

not sure what else to do.

Can someone point me into the right area or assist me in figuring out why it is unable to send emails?
