Users trying to send emails to our domain are ocassionally getting this error message

"
Connected to 65.165.142.33 but connection died. Possible duplicate! (#4.4.2)

Despite repeated attempts, this message could not be delivered.
"

65.165.142.33 is the public IP address representing our exchange server.

Can anyone throw any light on this issue.. Where could the problem possible exist.

Any help is appreciated.

This is what Microsoft knowledge suggest.

Numeric Code: 4.4.2

Possible Cause: The connection has been dropped between servers.

Troubleshooting: This code may be caused by transient network issues or servers that are down. The server tries to deliver the message for a specific time period, and then generates additional status reports.
