manukhanna -> Rules don't work properly (2.Feb.2005 8:39:00 AM)

Hi,

I am facing a problem with my mail rules. Here in my office we are using Exchange 2003 as servers and Microsoft Outlook 2000/2003 as client.

I have created the following rule:

"Apply to message from "people on 2 or 3 different distribution lists" and on this machine only move it to the "My" folder"

Ideally this should work but when any mail that satisfies the "from" condidition arrives, it still ends up in the Inbox and not in the folder I specified in the rule. I have to manually move the mail to the required folder.

Can anyone help me fix this problem?

Well, rules work so it's odds on that, assuming you're using a rule that doesn't have a problem between Outlook version where one person uses two versions, there is a config problem.
If you go to manually process the rule, does the message move?

Yes if I run the rule manually, the messages do move to the folder as specified in the Rule.

How do I solve this problem? I even deleted the rules and created new ones but even then the result is the same.

Also some of these rules are stored in my mailbox on the Exchange Server, but I cannot delete them can I?

Pl. help
