I need some help and wondered if you might have an idea. I actually have my forwards setup exactly as you describe, however, my users are getting duplicate emails on the blackberry for every one they receive in outlook. any ideas?

Follow the instructions and every thing will work just fine. You will have to empty blackberrys website page from time to time.

1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers
2. Navigate to your USERS list
3. Right-click on folder and do NEW and CONTACT
4. Put in contact info and click NEXT
5. Put check-mark by Create Exchange e-mail address
6. Click NEXT to create the new contact
7. Double-click the new Contact and bring up Properties
8. Click on E-mail Addresses tab
9. Click on NEW and choose SMTP address and put in the full external E-mail address you want to forward to
10. Uncheck Automatically update ... recipient policy and click OK
11. Now double-click the user to want to forward all e-mails from and bring up Properties
12. Click on Exchange General tab
13. Click on Delivery Options
14. Click on Forward To and Modify
15. Enter the name of the new Contact and OK
16. Hit OK to exit Properties and your done

The reason why some of your users are getting their e-mail delivered twice to their blackberry handheld is because you are fowarding their e-mails from the Exchnage server and they are also running Blackberry Redirector on their desktops. If both are being used to forward e-mails to balckberry then you are going to see w-mails delivered twice. It is best to un-install the Blackberry Re-director.

Apologies for jumping into this thread. I have a similar set up with e-mails being redirected to a blackberry using a contact in exchange on win2k.

The problem is that from time to time an e-mail will get stuck in the outgoing queue (shows as retry in system manager). the users outlook receives the message once but the Blackberry receives multiple copies every minute until ythe device is full, this can end up being thousands of copies. There seems to be no pattern to which e-mails cause this problem.

Extensive searching has found nothing which could cause this. Can anyone guess what is going on here?
