Dear all,
I have Exchange server 2000 installed on Win2k server at work. I wonder if someone met the same symptom before...
I want to allow to one of my collogue to send a mail behalf the support team (Public folder, mail enabled).
So, I opened the system manager & added the user's name in the properties of the Public folder (Delivery options, send of behalf)
The result are the following:
The user can send the mail ONLY when he opens the Outlook, goes to the "From" field - selecting the "Public Folders" - and chooses the Support Public folder.
However if he simply writes the SAME SMTP address (support@.......com in the "from" field, he receives an error message saying that he is not permitted to send the mail...

Any suggestions???

I could NOT reproduce the same symptom in my lab environment at home...

Thanx in advanced,

This exact same thing is happening for me with Ex2003. Did you resolve it?

I am going to guess and say it may be something to do with Default vs. Anonymous permission.
