Exchange Enterprise 2003 on Server 2003. Exchange System Manager. Open the Administrative Group >> Folders >> Public Folders >> Right Click >> New >> Public Folder. Complete form to create new Public Folder and click Apply. Get error ID no: c1030af0 - Exchange System Manager. "The operation failed due to invalid format in the HTTP request. Verify that the host header is correct for the virtual server." Any help? Thanks!

You might want to try this link...

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;292262

I would assume that you actually change the permission of the public folder. I had the same error when I changed it. As I don't want to mess around with the registry, I deleted the folder and re-create it again. It solved my problem

Check out this link. I've been fighting this error for weeks and just stumbled across this MSDN article. It was the root of my problem. When you get to the web page do a find on "invalid format" and it will take you straight to the issue. Good luck.

Don't know if this is still an issue with all of your. The solution for me was to do this:
1. Go to IIS
2. Whatever virtual web you are using for OWA right click and goto properties.
3. Click "Advanced" Button next to the IP address.
4. Click "Add" to add a new identitiy for your web.
5. Select the correct IP, port (usually 80) and in host header you will enter the name of your Exchange organization (I could be wrong about this as my org is the same name as the PC I am on).

Let me know if this works for you. email me at csmith@bbcsinc.com. If it doesn't I want to make sure I didn't do something else to fix this problem

I had this exact issue and I resolved using this article 325920 from Microsoft.

Remeber at last all the Exchange services require a restart.

I had the same issue. It was resolved by going to the Default Web site and changing the hard coded IP to All Unassigned and that fixed my issue.

There used to be a similar "Error code" in X2000.

The reason was attributed to " Having Security groups with Deny permissions on Public folders".

Presume it's not the same in X2003 also [Wink]

I get the same problem when I click on the Public Folders object in Exchange System Manager. It prompts me to check the host header of the virtual server. However, I am not quite sure where I should check that. Should it be under "HTTP Header" tab? There is a custom HTTP header there by default "X-Powered-By:ASP.NET". Should I remove it? Please help.

Thanks a lot.
