priv1.edb very large! (Full Version)

I have noticed that the files priv1.edb and priv1.stm have become very large (1.5GB each). Does anyone know haw to reduce their size?

Why are you of the opinion 1.5 GB is large for priv1.edb and priv1.stm ?

You do know what those files are right ? How many users are located on your Exchange server ?

I agree with Henrik 1.5 GB is not very big for an information stores size . If you are concerned the only way to shrink it to its true size is an offline defaug with eseutil

1.5GB isn't large at all.

As suggested, an offline defrag *might* help in reducing the size by compacting the white space.

If you have online maintenance enabled (you should), check for event id 1221 in the application log to see how much free space you would be able to reclaim.
