Hi guys,

We've recently migrated to an Exchange 2k3 (new) machine from an existing Exchange 2k3 (old) machine (which funnily enough is now DEAD).

When trying to remove the old server from the new server's System Manager (Admin Groups -> First Admin Group -> Server -> ...) we get the "The server SERVER cannot be removed because one or more users currently use a mailbox store on this server..." error message.

Have searched the AD, and sure enough 3 Mailboxes are still homed on the old server. 2 of them are of no consequence, so I've just deleted them without a hitch, however the third Mailbox name is "SystemMailbox{B449F....".

Is there any way I can safely rehome that mailbox to the new server from the old server with the old one being a dead mule?

I found this article (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;316622) - I'm just a little hesitant to delete the SystemMailbox and then recreate, but I guess it's my only option? "[Smile]"

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Henrik. I couldn't figure out how to delete that mailbox, but then realised it didn't really matter as Exchange probably wouldn't worry about that box - sure enough, it deleted without a hitch.

Thanks!
