I have a simple mixed mode environment with a trust between my single NT domain and my new AD domain. My consultant configed the ADC which appears to be working fine. I am now trying to move some dummy test boxes from my 5.5 box over to the Exhange 2003 box and connect to them from the AD side. My understanding of the process from my consultant was 1. Move a box by use of the wizard in AD Users and computers. 2)Establish a new account in the AD side corresponding to that box (I've been using identical usernames). 3) from Exchange System Mgr I should then be able to see the box, right click and connect to the newly established user.
This process has not worked consistently at all. Typically the "reconnect" and "purge" options off the right-click are never available. Could someone walk me thru or point me to a good explaination of what I need to do to move a few boxes over and get users attached from the AD side?! I've probably overlooked these instructions in tutorials.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dave
