I know that they need to come out with the new version since Microsoft released SP1 for Exchange. Anyone planning on using it?

I tried Groupshield but frankly it sucks.. use Antigen instead, they've got some fantastic features..

And Norton Anti-Virus for Exchange is terrible as well. It only catches mails coming in from the Internet. Outgoing mails and internal mails sent via OWA are not checked for viruses!

I'm looking at other products too.

saying that, I've just installed NAV for Exchange 2.5 and it works well - all the previous problems have gone away. it catches all emails and even scans the IS in the background to catch old viruses.

So I am confused. You first said Norton is terrible and then you loaded latest version and you like it?

I have heard good things about Trend Micro.

Scanmail is not ready for SP1 yet.

I use Groupshield 5 which works perfectly on my exchange server, never had a virus get in building, and bar a slight problem which was fixed when I installed SP1 for Ex2k I had never had any problems

Well I am thinking about getting brave and loading this onto our Exchange server.

We use GroupShield from McAfee with no problems. It catches everything, sends notices to the right people and replaces infected (if cannot be cleaned) attachments with a text file saying it did so (users are less confused that way )
