I've followed all documents about hosting multiple smtp domains, but it doesn't work on my server.
When i try to send any mail fom internet to a secondary domain on my server, sender recieves an error mesage 'unable to relay, bad recipient'.

Recipient policies seem to be ok.
MX records are tested and fine.
Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Can you send emails to the second domain on your lan? If it doesn't work on the inside, it's not going to work on the outside.

You said you added the second domain in the Recipient, did you make sure you CHECKED that box next to the domain. Sounds stupid, but I've seen it happen before.

Did you included the new domain in AD for the user?

This is really all there is to it.

Sending mail inside my lan works fine for all domains hosted.

All i did in AD was typing in domains and trusts area the second domain as UDP ready for new users.

Is that enough about AD?

Thank you.

In AD, Properties of the user, E-Mail addresses.

You should see 2 smtp entry user@domain1.com and user@domain2.com

But remember what I said, make sure the box is checked in recipient where you added the new domain.

Other than that, I don't know what's wrong as long as the MX is pointing to the right IP. Check that again, carefully.

Good Luck
