cammy -> 'mt_wait about to start' event message (4.Jun.2004 10:10:00 AM)

I am having a problem with an event being logged in the application log in my SBS 2000 server.

The event (id 2010) is as follows:

About to start mt_wait on database "First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (ML310)".

This has been going on for some time now but I can't find any information on how to stop it. It fills up the event log continually with events every 5 seconds or so.

I have tried suppresing the logging of events for the pop3 connector but this didn't work.

I have raised this issue in a couple of forums but as yet have not been able to resolve it.

Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of event is it? Info, Warn or Error.
Are there any other events as well?
Have you check things like Disk space, memory, TCP/IP settings (DCDiag, NetDiag), queue lengths, and so on?

Also, do you have any Diagnostic Logging turned on in the Server Properties? See MSExchangeIS.

It is an informational event. I have tried disabling diagnostic logging in the ESM for the pop3 connector (which I was told could be causing the mt_wait problem), but this didn't stop the events.

What could I check re: disk space, memory etc as mentioned?

Your MSExchangeIS > Mailbox > MTA Connections is at Maximum or Enabled.
