Hi All,
I am running Ex2000 on a Win2000 DC, and am running out of space on the backup tapes. I am running Veritas 9.0, and backing up the c drive, the d drive where exchange is installed, the information store, public folders, and the individual mailboxes. The priv1.edb is about 7.6 gig, with the whole MDBDATA folder at about 11.7 gig. Should I be backing up everything I am doing? I know this leads to needing more space but what is necessary for a good restore? Could I back the mail boxes up with a different server? Or would this cause problems? I have been doing a full backup an weeknights to a remote server that had a large tape drive, now I must use the DAT 20/40 dds drive for the backup, and it will not fit onto one drive..... Also, what should I look for on the 16 gig limit for standard exchange? Where do you monitor this? What files?
Thanks - Wayne the worried
