Need suggestions for workflow automation - 13.Jul.2001 9:25:00 PM

I've been tasked with making an automated workflow solution that will handle incoming messages bound for a public folder.

All messages with attachments must have their attachments removed and renamed by a number series. This project will have roughly 1,800 returning email messages with attachements that must be stripped out and placed into a folder on the exchange server. The documents are all word documents that are reviewed later. The filenames are not important upon reciept, only the series number so that the first document is 0000001.doc and so forth up to 0001800.doc.

Any suggestions as to what products can do this?

Don't know if these do exactly what you want but www.ornic.com do some excellent add-ons to Outlook. I use two add-ons - one to detach attachments, and one to detach the actual text. They work perfectly and are very cheap.

Hope this helps.
