We are running GFI mailessentials in addition to the built-in Exchange SPAM filters. Normally when we find a legitimate message that was caught in the filter we drag it to the Pickup folder on a backend server for delivery. This works fine except for messages caught by the GFI keyword filter. The messages in this folder have three high ascii bytes (EF BB BF) prepended to them. The SMTP service chokes on these extra bytes and puts them in the Bad mail folder. We can't figure out where they are comming from. We have been working with GFI but they have not been able to replicate this problem. I have a debug script that removes the charactors as a work around but we would like to get to the bottom of this. Any ideas? Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks.
