Have the symantec software installed on SBS2003 premium ed. Installed ok, but I cannot get the liveupdate function to work, and I believe the issue lies with the ISA server.

Symantec's knowledge base was no help, tried creating a rule myself, but didn't get anywhere.

Anyone else ever encounter this?

I had this issue for a while. I could manually execute liveupdate, but automatic liveupdate would fail. Ensure you have FTP opened on ISA. The manual method uses HTTP, while the auto method uses FTP.

You must to Symantec's website to register your product.
And than you can get a "License File".
Download the "License File", and to install it.
Than you get it.(You can to run Live Update.)
