Not Read Receipt - 12.Feb.2005 8:44:00 AM
I get Not Read receipts from many users using Outlook 2003 connected to our Exchange server. I tried to figure out how a Not Read receipt is being send. I could not find any options to this.
I would be highly obliged if some one can let me know how a Not read receipt is generated in Outlook 2003.

Thanks in advance

Hi, not sure I follow fully - but I believe if someone has an Auto Preview setup, and they read the email from the preview pane and then delete the email without moving off the email, the email stays as unread? Hence the Not Read message will be returned.
Also I believe Outlook 2002, 2003 give you the option to deny the read receipt been sent if someone has requested.

Hope this Helps.

Yes, the receiepts i eleive are all based in outlook, - the user sending emails can ask to have delivery / read reciepts sent back - if the other person has the option turned on to send back receipts - onyl thing i think you could do is filter these out as i do in outlook i have a "receiepts" filter using words Read:
