hi

Have read the posting & Q281224 on changing the displayed info when a user telnet to EX on port 25. Unfortunatly my server insists on still displaying the build infomation. "[Frown]" Mmmmmmmmmm any ideas? Box is 2000SP2 & EX2000 SP3 (was the same with SP2)

I am using the Metabase Editor - The one that MS link to from the KB article. THe only differnce I see when entering the new string is instead of "Value" my metaedit window says "data" Is this just a mistake in the KB article? Also should any of the option boxes (secure, inherit etc)be ticked? ? Please help I'm just about to configure SMTP filtering on my ISA and until i do that I feel like i might as well paint a bullseye for hackers on the Server "[Smile]"
