Reverse Filtering on Exchange 2000 - 15.Aug.2002 3:26:00 AM

Has anyone successfully implemented reverse filtering on an Exchange 2000 server?

Reverse Filtering works by blocking ALL INBOUND ACCESS to the mail server and only ALLOWING certain "APPROVED" senders.

This may seem like a lot of work, but now unfortunately, it's less work than dealing with SPAM.

Free speech or not - SPAM should be outlawed IMHO.

Please advise - and thanks!

Yes, people do respond to posts here [Smile]

I have never tried reverse filtering, and I can certainly see the benefit, but with system like www.vamsoft.com and MailEssentials I would suggest going with those.

The reason I say this is simple, your company could suffer by only being able to receive mail from certain email addresses/domains, what would happen if a prospect wanted to email your company for information about your product yet you have blocked them from doing so.

I am not trying to say the reverse filtering is a bad option, but I personally would go with a good content management system.
