hello,

i have set my mail relay settings according to http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF005.html.
my virus scanner shows all the mails going in and coming out of the server in real time.it shows a lot of messages from administrator and postmaster account as being sent to the smtp router mailbox.it's keeping on sending constantly.i had to disable the smtp virtual server to stop it.please reply soon.

Hi,

The messages from the postmaster is most likely NDR's send because a spammer is emailing a non existing user in your organization.

I have the same problem, but the question is - how do you stop it.

I am getting hundreds of NDR's sent because some spammer is sending to an unknown address on my server and using different return addresses each time. So without relaying, this spammer is still getting his message out due to my postmaster returning messages to all these addresses.

Any ideas????

delete all messages from your queue and bad mail folders and make sure you have set your relay settings as given in this link.http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF005.html.
