Hi All,

We have SBS 2000 Setup , Exchange 2000. Now I have created one contact in my Exchange with external id e.g abc@yahoo.com , now i am making one rule in my outlook express that if i got the mail from xyz@yahoo.com to my company ID that will be automatically forwards to my yahoo id e.g abc@yahoo.com . Now the Thing is the rule is working , as when the mail comes from the particular id it forwards to my abc@yahoo.com id as this shows me while forwarding and i can confirm it via check in sent items folder . but when i am checking the mail on my yahoo.com account , there is no mails on that id ..As if i configure the rules for internal forwarding it works but only when external forwarding comes in the picture its not working....

So where this mails gone !!!As it shows in my sent items that mails has been sent from my out look but its not reached...Can anyone help me to find the solution..

Thanks in advance....

Peter.

Check Message Tracking.  Check your queues.

Hi ,

I have Check my queue also but there is no mail is stop inside ...and i have also check on the different mail domain like yahoo , gmail , rediff , indiatimes etc ..but on no one i got the message dilervered...as it shows in my sent items..as well as this is not a client only rule so ..if mail box is closed also that time also it should work ..but this is secondary things...as at present if my mail box is open but still its not working....and one more thing i have notice is that when i am creating any new contact at that time i am giving the mail id as xyz@gmail.com and when finished it...it shows me only one smtp address in e mail address of that contact properties it it the proper ?

My MX Record settings are proper as i can manually forwards the message to any domain...and i am able to send receive mails from any domain to any domain...and i am not having any spam filtering software on my server.

Please help me to solve this issue .....

Peter

What about Message Tracking?  If the message really went out, there will be a record of it there.  Use the outbound email address as the recipient and the time at which Sent Items claims as the time range.

Fixed this in SBS2003 by enabling "allow automatic forward".
See Exchange Server Manager>Global Settings>Internet Message Formats>Default (or your custom domain)>Advanced tab.

Hope this helps.
