hi,

I guess you are having two exchange server for two sites?
Second why don't you have CAS on one of the Site? Recommended to have one..

This screen shot explain about simple Exchange 2007 setup where you don't have high availablity? is that what you are looking?

Total how many users you have?

thanks for the response. =)

yep, two exchange servers for two sites. the reason i posted is am unsure of installing CAS on the second site as it would cause conflict(?) with the first exchange 2007 server.?? and also our connection to the internet is on the first site only.

i have around 700 users, 600 on the first site with 100 OWA users, and 100 on the second site with 20 OWA users.

my server setup: hp proliant dl380 g5

c drive: raid 1+0, 2 72Gb (system)
d drive: 5 146 Gb plus 1 hot spare, raid 5, total of 546 Gb (info store)

with local continous replication located also on the d drive.

send me your comments pls. thanks!!!

hi mate,

you can keep CAS there also, it will be resolver point...

even you can consolidate all the users mailbox into the one exchange server..

I believe you will have RAID1 for Exchange log file as well?

thanks for the reply. our former setup which is exchange 2000 environment, involves two exchange 2000 servers and one FE (frontend) for OWA.

We successfully migrated our first site over the weekend. Yey! OWA is working. Now, my concern is how will i install the second server on our second site, will i install CAS also? What will be the OWA configuration?

Our  public IP which is 203.x.x.x is pointed to our exchange 2007 (with hub transport, mailbox, CAS server role) which 192.99.7.107. Now, if i install our second exchange server in our second site 192.99.8.14, how will i configure the OWA?

Thanks!
