IF we're doing something like database portability and need to modify Outlook 2003 and 2007 clients, I know we can use Autodiscover for Outlook 2007, but how would you acheive this with Outlook 2003? I know you can update the profile manually or you can use a PRF file, but what other methods are there? Can you use EXprofre? From what I read about exprofre, it was for Outlook 2003 pre-sp2 when DSproxy couldn't refer clients to a server outside of its site/admin group. Can this now be used in Exchange 2007 to re-direct Outlook 2003 clients if the source server died and can't refer?

In the Exch2000/2003 and Outlook 2003 environment, when ever you move the mailbox to a different server, even in a different AG, waited for AD replication to complete, user's Outlook profile automatically redirects the user to the new server. Why doesn't this work anymore under Exch2007 and Outlook 2003? Seems to be one of those reasons MS wants you to upgrade ($) to Outlook 2007 and use the autodiscovery feature.
