Hi guys,
We recently purchased exchange 2000 server enterprise edition.we want to install it in our network.we have a central site with 500 users and 30 other branches connected by VSAT all having NT servers with each site having 30-50 users. What i did was to install the exchange server 2000 in the head office and every other user about 1000 connect to the exchange directly.
Is this wise ?can we have other exchange running in the branches ?we have only one domain name which is @habib-bank-ng.com.
Many thanks

You can certainly install E2K in the other sites. No matter what you do, I believe that the bottle-neck will be your VSAT link. Are you stuck with this, or is there an option to look at other ways to connect?

if you r sure that your VSAT is reliable and you it does not drop down to extreme, you can view your CR for this. If the case is like this, you can install in head office and can publish your exchange server on the internal/external web site and all your company employes can receive and send their emails and your management will also be very relaxed up to only one location.
