greetings all... I am new to the forum and please excuse my lack of knowledge with Exchange 2007. Having problems getting the outlook anywhere to function with Outlook 2003 remote clients. The certificate does not seem to be an issue as I have imported it into the client machine. Authentication works but then gives me a message about not being able to resolve the the name. Under Outlook 2007 message comes up saying exchange server unavailabel ... retry...
I'm wondering what else I could be missing....
test outlookwebservices comes up with errors accessing and contacting https

Hi,

Check that the address your trying to reach is registered on the certificate. This can cause the 1005 error.

OL2003 or OL2007?
You mention both.

Thanks for the reply... where on the certificate would I look to make sure the correct address is specified...Are you speaking of the external address like... exchange.domain.com? I know that under "subject" on the certificate it has the address specified as exchange, domain, com with commas.
I am mainly interested in the Outlook 2003 clients, however, I will eventually need the 2007 Outlook client to function as well.

Perhaps I should mention also that Exchange 2007 is installed on the second domain controller which does not hold the GC role... not sure if that has any bearing on the issue..
Thanks
