I understand new-exchangecertificate, import-exchangecertificate and
enable-exchangecertificate -services "pop, imap, smtp, iis".

But how do you do this for 2nd server?  I have a lab and on my cas1 server i did the import fine,, but I had to generate a 2nd request for cas2..   Is this true?  so if I was to set this up for a customer I would have to request 2 valid certs at the cost of $80 per year each? Just help me clarify this.

Hi ,

I think you are right but when using it in NLB maybe you can request a certificate for the NLB hostname ?

Also make sure SP1 is installed because it is not supported in the RTM version:

You need to make sure the certificate provider you use allows a SAN certificate to be used with multiple servers.

In regards to how you install the cert from CAS1 on a second server, see:

http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/high-availability-recovery/load-balancing-exchange-2007-client-access-servers-windows-network-technology-part1.html

Especially part 3 covers this.
