I have been trying to fix this for a few days and I have had no luck.

When my client tries to log in to OWA he gets the 404 error message and does not get a chance to log in.

If you try the internal URL it works fine. The one thing that really confuses me is I managed to get to to work on my computer. I can go to his external URL and log in fine but no one else can.

I have recreated the Virtual directory and set up the client access again in the EMC.

I am running exchange 2010 SP1 with OWA version 14.1???

I have tried .testexchangeconnectivity.com but I get the error

The test result has expired and cannot be retrieved. Please run the test again

Activesync works fine.

Any ideas?

HI sburrows,

Mostly This error occur when using Exchange 2003. To resolve this issue use one of the following methods:

1) Modify the SMTP address or add a new SMTP address for the users who are encountering the issue in the "Symptoms" section. You may want to use this method if the issue is confined to some users or to users who have incorrect SMTP addresses.
2) Modify the SMTP domain serviced by the Exchange virtual directory. You may want to use this method if most or all of the users in your organization are encountering the issue in the "Symptoms" section.
3) Create additional virtual directories for additional SMTP domains. You may want to use this method if your organization has multiple SMTP domains.
