We have a SBS 2000 box set and had everything installed on one slow machine. I have installed exchange on a nother server and  I moved the mailboxes there. Every time I reboot the machine with the new exchange server on it. my system c drive is corupted and the machine cant boot. I was wondering will it work like that. Having one machine with the Active Directory and the other with Exchange on it using the Active Directory from the other machine. I cant figure this out. The machine works no problems but you restart it and it cant find the boot.ini file sometime c is corupted. Any help would be great

do not forget that SBS needs to have everything installed on the same server. If the Exchange you installed on the 2nd PC is part of the SBS, it will not work.

It appears to work as long as I dont reboot the machine. Exchange server runs smoothly , I have also found this bug below with the write cache enable may cause data corruption, I have disabled write cache to test to see if I can reboot.SP4 is installed and according to microsoft the write cache fix was installed in SP3. I am going to put SBS 2000 back together on one faster machine. Thanks again for your help.
