Vamsoft ORF costs $239 per server and is a one off cost.

Excellent software and great at eliminating spam.

If you have exchange server 2007 inplace then you can install the antispam agent on the hub server(hope you have all three roles installed on the same box). This will solve your problem.

In laymen's terms - yes. Download the trial version - install it on the server and read the simple configuration instructions that pop up.

Yo uhave a 30 day trial and you will love it I am sure. The logs are brilliant, so is the ability to kill spam. Greylisting is it's biggest asset - the temporary rejection of all mail from email addresses it has never heard of. Most spam is only sent once, so this kills most spam dead instantly. Only a few persist and then there are other traps it can fall into.

You can also set the software to just log what would happen and not reject anything. That way you have an idea of what will happen, but it's your call if you want to turn on that feature.

If you get stuck - I'm not far away.

You don't need to pay anything beyond the purchase price - but you can if you want to stay up-to-date with new releases.

Of course the built-in software is cheaper and already paid for if you are looking for really cheap.

thanks, it looks quite complicated, I wonder how many users of ORF do not update annually but still are not hindered by regular spam

I don't know, but I could ask Vamsoft directly!

It is not that complicated to setup - although reading the help files will be very useful.

It is pretty much an install and forget solution, which is great.

How are you getting on with it so far?

Sorry - wasn't sure!

I would imagine Vamsoft is very good without updates. It does not content scan, so does not really need updates. All you will miss out on is new techniques for stopping spam.

You are welcome. SHout if you need any help with Vamsoft at all. I have it running on dozens of servers and know it pretty well.
