Hello,

I have outlook web access working fine with SSL.
Presently, my users have to type in https:\\webmail.mycompany.com to be prompted etc.

I have noticed on some customer sites that they have removed the need to put in https: and you just have to put in webmail.mycompany.com

How does one go about doing this?

Well i'm happy to help but you should realy have a look in the previous posts before writing down your issue. It might be some other fellow had the same problem.

Answer is about 7 posts down and has a pretty clear subject: " changing OWA-url "
