I have kind of a unique situation I hope someone can help me with. I have an exchange 2000 server in my domain, it's been working for years... a few months ago, the previous admin decided to start building an exchange 2007 server, but stopped half way through. The 2007 server has mailboxes on it, but none are active (I've rebooted the server and have been able to access my mailbox, along with others, without a problem). I'd like to remove this 2007 instance so I can install 2010 from scratch. Seeing as how I'm an exchange newb, this is causing some issues.

From what I've read, I need to disconnect all the mailboxes on the 2007 instance (I'm hoping this doesn't alter the 2000 instance in any way since it's on its last legs as it is!)... is there any way to do this in bulk or do I have to run the script I've found for each and every mailbox?

Does anyone know of any good guides I can follow to do this uninstall? Of course, this is all in a production environment with no test area, or room for error... oh the joys.

Thanks to anyone/everyone who can help!!
