I have two VM's each with an DC and Exchange 2010,
Lets call them server1 and server2 with exchange1 and exchange2

exchange1 automatically created a mailbox copy on exchange2.
Then the VM of exchange2 was removed (it was a testbox) and deleted by accident.
Now I am stuck with a VM with a DC and exchange 2010 SP1 where I have constant speed trouble apparently because the exchange2 server is still in the system.

What is the best way to remove it? I have tried all commands to remove mailbox and server2 etc but it all errors out.
OF course with understandable errors like "server inaccesable" etc but still there must be a way to remove it.

Any help appreciated.

There is an article here about recovering a failed DAG member. If you scroll down a little it has the instructions for removing the server from the DAG.

Dear Paul,

Thanks for your help. I did not setup DAG on the server, the copy was created automatically when I connected the machines to the same domain.

To make things more clear I have made some screengrabs.

When I try remove the DB copy :

When trying to remove the Mailbox DB:

When I run [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-Mailbox -Database "Mailbox Database 0605348539"

It remains empty.

Read the rest of the second error message, it tells you how to check for and remove the various types of mailboxes that might be preventing the database from being removed.

DAGs aren't created automatically so someone at some point must have added that server to the DAG.
