hi!..first sorry for my english

I would like an help form all of you, in our company we had an architecture with exchange 5.5 and some of collegues received a lot of spam. They ask our ICT superboss and he told us that we need to install outlook 2003 and we'll resolve 90% of our problem?...
is it true that with exchange 5.5 and outlook 2003 we resolve our problem?....it seems me strange.....tanks....

Outlook contains a junkfilter, yes, so that will separate the mail out to a separate folder. However, this is dependant on the Updates provided by Microsoft. Which I can see Office 2003 being migrated out, and thus no more updates.

There's various other options: Exchange 2003 or higher has spam filtering functions built in, or you could go for some external spam solution like something from Barracuda.

That way the mail flows into the spam appliance, gets filtered, and only the allowed mail passes to your Exchange machine.
