Hi
I'm looking for a tool that will delete messages in users inbox and sent mail that are a certain age. the clean mailbox tool in exchange 5.5 sends these messages to the deleted items folder. OK however we need something that will inform the user what has been moved. Any ideas would be welcome
Perhaps its not an add on at all.
Our server is ms exchange 5.5

You do not need any third party software. You can use outlook and conffigure the auto deletion of mails from the mailbox. It is very simple just right-click on the inbox folder and go to properties and manage it from there

No need - you can install the mailbox manager from the service pack 4 CD. This is fully configureable for ALL parts of the exchange mailbox.

Delete what you want based on age, size, etc.

Instead of delete it you could go with a product that we went with. It helped us reduce the size of our databases (65G to 12G). The user still has access to those emails and we can easily manage our databases. The company is called IXOS (www.ixos.com). Might be worth the effort to check it out.
