When creating a new outlook 2K profile on a Windows 98 Se client, after entering in exchange server name and mailbox name, click the check name box and it returns a message stating that network problems are preventing you from connecting to the exchange server. However, I can ping the server and all existing clients are using mail fine. I also tried to create the profile on a machine that has a functioning profile on it and the same problem occurs.

If you have a working profile, select properties, show profiles, and copy the profile to create a new profile. Make any necessary changes to the new copy.
