Hi, SCR seeding - is the Targetpath parameter working with update-storagegroupcopy? I am trying to run this command, but i got an error: update-storagegroupcopy -id sg1 -standbymachine pdx-mail -targetpath D:\temp\sg1\ Update-StorageGroupCopy : "\\FIFE-MAIL\fedfa343-98ea-476c-852c-84ede9b4c03c$" is not an acceptable path. An acceptable path is either an absolute, local, or long file path and does not contain '~'. Parameter name: path At line:1 char:24 + update-storagegroupcopy <<<< -id sg1 -standbymachine pdx-mail -targetpath D:\temp\sg1\ My Notes: - d:\temp\sg1\ folder exists and it is empty - running the same command on the target SCR box without TergetPath parameter works - I also tried update-storagegroupcopy -id sg1 -standbymachine pdx-mail -targetpath "D:\temp\sg1\" - same error Is it something I am missing for the Path string?

SCR requires that the source and the target have identical drives. Meaning, if the SG on the source is on Q:\SG1, then the target needs to have a Q: available. Try looking at this for a little context... http://tsoorad.blogspot.com/2008/04/standby-continuous-replication-scr.html Note that I do not use the target path parameter - I just let the cmdlet hash it out for me. I have done more than a few of these, and this is how I do it. HTH.

is a T1 going to be sufficient bandwidth to handle the SCR traffic and the normal/existing traffic load? You may be able to plan a bit, bring the SCR target into your local net, do the initial seed, then down the SCR target, move it to the physical location, and then it will catch up but will not need to have the entire 60GB at once. If you do that over normally slow period, you may not have too much to re-synch. I had to do this once - it worked pretty well.

Thank you, John I may need to open a case with MS to see why the TargetPath switch doesn't work as suppose to.
