Hi everyone, I have the following setup: Exchange 2007 SP1 with Hub, Maibox and Client Access roles installed, and e-mail flow working just fine aswell as OWA. For testing purposes I am using two self generated certificates in order to encrypt comunications. A root certificate and an intermidiate. All works just fine on IE and any PC, but when I copy it and install it on a Windows Mobile Device, Exchange Activesync doesnt sync and gives me the following error code: It says that the user does not have permission to sync: 0x85010004 Can anyone help me? -- Regards Nuno Luz

I found out what was wrong: I had to create a new Exchange Activesync Mailbox Policy and erased the Default one. It now syncs!! Now I have one question: I have the 120 day trial of Exchange Entreprise version installed, but none of the great provisioning policies are working. ie: if I disalow camera, the device syncs, but camera keeps working :( Anyone knows what could this be? Thanks Nuno

I am using HTC Tytn II WM6 and exchange 2007 enterprise. Now I did the follwoing in order to make it sync (at least) (1) My Exchnage 2007 is a flash new install (2) I install three certificates for my server at http://www.startcom.org. one Startcom CA root and install it into Trusted root certification Authorities/Local Computer, one Startcom Server side certificate for Startcom class 1 Intermediate Certification Authorities and install it into Intermediate Certification Authorities/Local Computer. one certificate for your SSL URL server Config the IIS using the Startcom SSL certificate as a default certificate (3) I install two certificates for my PDA (if you using WM5, I think you have to download third party software to inport the certificate) one certificate for your SSL URL server one Startcom client side certificate for Startcom class 1 Intermediate Certification Authorities If you really want to pay $30US/year godaddyssl.com, it save you a lot of trouble. You just need to install one certificate for your server and install one certificate for your PDA. (4) goto IIS / default web site / Activesync and disable the SSL (if enable, it won't work for me and complain the certificate is not valid or expire. Maybe, I have to pay $30/year to get a real one) (5) attach the PDA to your computer with active sync install (6) using active sync to config the exchange partnership with no SSL That's all
