Hello, I just noticed I have random outside domains and IPs showing up in my SMTP current sessions. They will only stay there for usually less than 30 seconds and they are gone. No strange traffic is going out of my SMTP queue. I did a telnet test to my server my IP showed up under the SMTP current sessions. We are locked down to prevent relaying and spamming. Is it possible these are just people seeing if they can authenticate and send spam. Like I said they are gone pretty quick and there is no strange email traffic. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas, I appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello docFinity,
It could be, but all sorts of stuff are allowed to connect anonymously to your Virtual SMTP server.
The reason herefore is anonymous access under Protocols > SMTP > Default SMTP Virtual Server > Access > Authentication is enabled, this is by design. [ December 06, 2003, 12:24 AM: Message edited by: Henrik Walther ]
