I'd start with http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;325044.

Hmmm

Are you running a Standard Sever with >3GB of memory. ?

When 9508 shifts to 12k, typically its on such scenarios.

changing the heap size maynot help.

need more information

I have the same problem. I did follow the KB325044 article and made the appropriate changes but still 12800 messages show every second in the application log. If I restart the information store, they go away unitl the store eats all the memory again and they start showing up again.

I have W2K3 Standard w/Exchange 2003 4GB RAM? I'm getting real close to calling MS Support for this as I have spent WAY 2 much time on it. By now, I could have paid for a MS Tech from Redmond to fly out and fix it! Doh!
