i have e2k7 configured to receive internet e-mail and relay to e2k3 server for certain domains until the migration is complete.

i had forgotten to make the e2k3 server authoritive for the email domain in question so the relay was refused.

looking at the tracking log on e2k7 the messages are flagged as fail, but what acutally happened to the messages?

no NDR?

any ideas?
