Status: offline 		i am running exch2k and wish to look at smtp headers so i can trace a massive spammer, only trouble is exchange seems to strip all the smtp info out of messages as they arrive. does anyone know how i can see this information?

I you open the message in Outlook and then goto the View menu and select Options you should be able to see the SMTP header info there.

Status: offline 		Certainly, it is right, but seems not suitable for catching spammers. It would be better to analyze the Tracking Log. It does not contain full SMTP headers but includes information quite enough to detect spammers. In the Exchange 2000 environment, sender IP is logged there, so you can actually control one's unsolicited activities.
The advantage is that you should not manually control each message's header, but can write a script to analyze daily tracking log, etc.
