How would you/Can you create a wildcard email alias on Exchange 2003 that will accept something like the following

blank_nothere@domain.com
blah_nothere@domain.com

i want to set up an alias or distribution group *_nothere@domain.com

is this possible?

No, not possible but you can create multiple email addresses for a group or user if you want.

YES this is possible ...just follow the following KB article.. this allows all mail to your domain regardless of address 345@domain.com ezsdf@domain.com it sends all the mail to a specific mail box.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324021

thanks let me know if it works for you as it worked for me when i tested this morning.

thanks for the replies,

what i'm tring to do is set up a set of wildcard names that forward.... like this

if mail is sent to joe_2ndcompany@domain.com
or joey_2ndcompany@domain.com it forwards or is caught in one box

i need this to only happen if _2ndcompany is in the email address, thus the wildcard

*_2ndcompany@domain.com

not for *@domain.com

make sense??

thanks again
