greetings!

my exchange server simply restarts before finishing to load win2k server. but if i use safe mode if works fine. what must be the problem. and in safe mode i cant backup exchange. the box is dimmed is not selectable. help

Boot into safe mode, check Device Manager and Event Viewer for any errors. Use MS Knowledge base to look up error codes.

Switch the Exchange services from Automatic to Manual and restart server, you can then start the required services manually when the server successfully boots up. You just need System Attendant and Info Store running to back up system.

For the worstcase; you can copy the fles in mdbdata folder. .edb and .stm files are your exchange databases. edb for mapi forms, stm for mime form mails
