I had a user with Japanese Multilanguage installed and working fine on a Windows XP SP1 system. The user wanted to switch the system to English as its default language.

I set both Windows and Office regional language options to English. Everything worked fine except the mail folders and the public folders in Outlook 2003. Those changed to ? marks.

I have had an issue like this before and had resolved it by uninstalling the windows or office language packs and re-installing. Or I would just remove the mail profile from the system and add it back. Problem solved, not this time though.

I've done everything including a complete rebuild of the system. I have tried loading his profile on other systems. It's always coming up with ? marks on his mail & public folders.

I am not running Outlook in cached exchange mode.

How do I rename/rebuild his mail folders in the correct language (English)?
