i am running server 2k3 and exchange 2k3, have tried every permission schema i can think of, and have also deleted and rebuilt the default IIS pages but i either get no OWA logon screen and a windows popup login screen or i get the OWA logon and then a "500 internal server error" when you actually click login. Any thoughts? I am running this as a single server so no front end/back end what do i need for config to make this work?

How did you rebuild the OWA directories? I recommend you use the follwing articles when rebuilding them:

How to re-create the Exchange-related virtual directories in Internet Information Services 6:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=888033

How to reset the default virtual directories for Outlook Web Access in Exchange Server 2003:

We followed the second article and it worked great, before we did that the OWA logon wouldn't display at all, I am going to run SP1 for exchange and see where that gets me. thanks again keep the ideas coming!

I had the exact same problem with my OWA. I followed the instructions from the MS KB and everything works fine now!
